COMPUTER AND DESIGN LABORATORY

Computer and Design Laboratory room is located on the third floors of new civil engineering laboratories building. The laboratory was established for computer software teaching and drawing design study associated with civil engineering courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Computer facilities for the department are integrated as part of the network for the faculty of engineering. Thus, all students can access network and internet through all computers in the laboratory.

Engineering students have access to all software licensed by the department. The Computer lab assigned for the exclusive use of students in the civil engineering program can accommodate 50-60 students. In addition to the software available to the general faculty, the department has access to specialized software concerning to civil engineering application for studying and training such as “Premavera Version 4.1”, “AutoCAD 2006”, “Microsoft Project 2003”, “MathCAD”, “StaadPro”, etc. Updating or acquisition of new specialized civil engineering software is an ongoing process that is monitored by the department as new versions of programs become available.
